Pronto Xi
The Transformation Story

-
"When I joined the Pronto Xi Web Client initiative, the product was still heavily rooted in a traditional thin client experience. While functionally powerful, the interface was dense, rigid, and not designed for modern workflows or devices. Users often had to navigate complex screens—especially Data Grids—that required significant effort to learn and use efficiently.
-
It was clear this wasn’t just a visual refresh—it needed a fundamental UX transformation.
-
I began by understanding the problem space—working closely with stakeholders and analysing user interactions across core ERP modules like CRM, Finance, and Supply Chain. A consistent pattern emerged: users were spending a large portion of their time working with data-heavy interfaces, yet the experience lacked flexibility, clarity, and efficiency.
-
This insight brought focus to one of the most critical components—the Data Grid.
-
From there, the transformation evolved into rethinking the entire experience. We restructured navigation, simplified interaction patterns, and introduced a responsive design system that worked seamlessly across desktop, tablet, and mobile. The goal was to make complex enterprise workflows feel intuitive—without losing the power users depend on.
-
The Data Grid redesign became a cornerstone of this transformation. It was reimagined to support flexible interactions like sorting, filtering, inline editing, and column customisation, while also adapting to smaller screens without breaking usability. This significantly improved how users interacted with large datasets on a daily basis.
-
As the platform evolved into Versions 770 and 780, the experience became more cohesive, scalable, and modern. A new visual language, theming capabilities, and consistent UI patterns brought clarity and efficiency across all modules.
-
What started as a legacy system evolved into a responsive, user-centric ERP platform—empowering users to work faster, with less friction, and greater confidence".
