LOTTERY VERIFY
Canada | Australia

Buy with confidence. Know who you’re buying from.

The Proposition

A proposed consumer-trust platform for Australian and Canadian lottery markets, designed to help people verify providers, understand eligibility, access official information, recognise potential scams, and purchase with greater confidence.

Discover

Explored the consumer journey across official lottery operators, government/regulatory sources, provider websites, reviews, search platforms and online purchase experiences.

Research & Competitor Analysis

Reviewed how existing lottery and information platforms communicate legitimacy, licensing, eligibility, reviews and consumer protection. Key gap: information exists across multiple sources, but the verification journey remains fragmented and difficult to interpret.

DEFINE & DESIGN

Define
The opportunity became simple:

How might we give lottery buyers one trusted place to verify before they buy?

Design
Designed a responsive mobile and desktop web experience centred around country → jurisdiction → provider → verification. The core interaction is “Show Me the Proof”, surfacing regulatory status, official sources, eligibility, provider information, reviews and verification history.

Designed for government welfare
Proposed as a potential consumer-awareness and harm-reduction initiative for state governments, giving lottery buyers clearer information before purchase and helping them distinguish legitimate providers from potentially misleading or fraudulent services.

Trusted Badge
A transparent verification badge indicates that a provider has been checked against authoritative information—supported by an evidence trail rather than a simple visual tick.

The outcome
A calm, evidence-led experience designed to answer one question before money changes hands:

NDA Statement: To respect confidentiality, certain details including data, visuals, and system specifics have been adapted or abstracted. The focus is on showcasing design approach, thinking, and impact."
