EV VOLT
Know your next move.
A new way to think about EV journeys.
VOLT is an intelligent EV companion concept built around one idea: charging should be planned as part of the journey—not treated as a separate task.
INTERFACES

Inspired by the simplicity of Tesla, VOLT rethinks EV charging as an intelligent, seamless part of the journey.

THE BIG IDEA
ENERGY FLOW
Instead of making the driver jump between a map, charger list, battery screen and trip planner, VOLT visualises the journey as a living energy flow.
START → DRIVE → ENERGY DIP → CHARGE WINDOW → RECOVER → ARRIVE
THE PROBLEM
Where's the next charger?
That's only half the question.
EV drivers also need to know:
Will I reach it?
Will it be available?
How fast will I charge?
What will it cost?
Where should I stop?
What battery will I have when I arrive?
VOLT brings these decisions together into one continuous experience.
START WITH YOUR EV
The interface makes energy consumption, charging opportunities and arrival confidence visible at a glance.
START WITH YOUR EV
VOLT begins with the vehicle.
Select your EV once and the experience understands its:
Battery · Range · Connector · Charging capability · Efficiency
Every recommendation that follows is vehicle-aware.
FIND THE RIGHT CHARGE
Need a charger now?
VOLT doesn't simply show the nearest station.
It evaluates:
Distance + Traffic + Battery + Availability + Speed + Cost + Compatibility
Then answers the more useful question:
"What's the best charger for me right now?"
And, importantly, explains why.
CHARGING BECOMES TIME
Plug in.
VOLT knows how long you have.
Instead of staring at a charging countdown, it creates an Opportunity Window:
18 MINUTES
Coffee · Food · Walk · Work · Shopping
Your charging stop becomes part of the journey.
WHEN THE PLAN CHANGES
Real journeys aren't predictable.
A charger becomes occupied.
Traffic changes.
Range drops.
Weather shifts.
VOLT doesn't throw an error.
It replans.
The Energy Flow dynamically adjusts and presents the next best option—keeping the driver informed without creating unnecessary cognitive load.
THE DESIGN LANGUAGE
VOLT deliberately moves away from conventional green EV interfaces. The visual system draws from automotive cockpits, advanced navigation systems and data visualisation.Dark surfaces.Luminous energy paths.Large numerical typography.Fluid motion.Minimal controls.Information revealed exactly when needed.
THE DESIGN CHALLENGE
How do you turn a complicated energy-management problem into something a driver can understand in seconds?
My answer was to stop designing around charging stations—and start designing around the journey itself.
